1. Purpose of this statement
This statement describes how Helvetica Credit Investment AG holds, protects and accounts for client assets. It is intended to give clients a clear understanding of where their money is, who can access it and what happens in the event of a failure of any party involved.
2. Segregation of client assets
Client funds are held in accounts designated as client money accounts with regulated Swiss banking partners. These accounts are legally and operationally separate from the operating accounts of Helvetica Credit Investment AG. Company funds are never commingled with client funds. The banking partners acknowledge in writing that balances on client money accounts are held for the benefit of clients and are not available to satisfy claims of the company's creditors.
3. Digital asset handling
Digital asset deposits are received through our payment processor and converted to United States dollars at the moment of crediting. We do not hold client balances in digital assets. Where digital assets are briefly held during settlement, they are kept in wallets controlled by the processor under multi signature arrangements and are swept to fiat at the earliest opportunity. Withdrawals in digital assets are funded from company liquidity and reconciled against client balances daily.
4. Deployment into the lending book
When a client allocates funds to an investment plan, the corresponding amount is deployed into the lending book managed by our investment committee. Loan documentation, collateral and security interests are held in the name of Helvetica Credit Investment AG or a dedicated financing vehicle for the benefit of plan investors. Each client's entitlement is recorded in our books and reflected in the client portal in real time.
5. Reconciliation
Client wallet balances are reconciled against bank and processor records every business day. Invested balances are reconciled against the lending book monthly. Any difference is investigated and resolved within one business day of detection. Reconciliation results are reviewed by the Chief Financial Officer and reported to the board quarterly.
6. Access controls
Payment instructions from client money accounts require dual authorisation by two senior officers. Access to the administrative interface of the platform is restricted by role, protected by two factor authentication, and every action is recorded in a hash chained audit log that cannot be altered after the fact. Client withdrawals require review by treasury staff before release.
7. Insolvency protection
In the unlikely event of the insolvency of Helvetica Credit Investment AG, balances held on client money accounts would be segregated from the insolvency estate and returned to clients in accordance with Swiss law. Invested balances represent claims on the underlying lending book, which would be administered for the benefit of investors. The insolvency of a banking partner is addressed by Swiss depositor protection to the extent applicable and by our policy of distributing client money across more than one institution.
8. Independent assurance
Our client asset arrangements are reviewed annually by an independent audit firm as part of the statutory audit. A summary of the findings is available to clients on request.
9. Client reporting
Clients can view their wallet balance, invested capital, yield history and complete transaction ledger at any time in the client portal, and can download statements, investment certificates and tax summaries in PDF format. Every entry in the ledger is immutable once created.
10. Changes to custody arrangements
We will notify clients at least thirty days in advance of any material change to the arrangements described in this statement, except where a shorter period is required to protect client interests.
